There is always one plastic miniature that you need and that doesn’t exist. No matter whether it be for a large diorama or a small vignette. The figures, which are standing for the variety in lay out and especially for the individual solution, often need to be altered/modified/remodelled.


Peter Herfen and Ruediger Fischer needed thousands of modified miniatures for their dioramas. Therefore both perfected the modification of 1/72 scales in their own way.


Model World IV looks over their shoulders and reveals different ways and techniques how to modify figures. A simple ‚head alteration’ over ‚a half body cut’ to moulding will be shown.


In very calm pictures, being typical for the Model World series, one can watch how to realize one’s own ideas with very few and simple means.


Ruediger Fischer’s diorama of the „Battle near Leuthen in 1757“ is presented in detail. That way one again sees what an effect can be created by modified miniatures.
